Did you know that there are a lot of Discounts available for Seniors?.  Some are for people 50 and older, some 60 and older.  In addition to local discounts for Seniors in your locale, we thought it would be nice to share with you the Senior Discounts that are available across the United States.

We all have felt the pain and pressure of inflation over the past four years.  And, it is hard to say when we might see prices return to a more humane level. While many companies are not dropping prices full-time, there are quite a few companies that understand that many seniors live on fixed incomes in retirement, so they have made many discounts available for people to take advantage of. It is certainly not like winning the lottery, but we all know there is nothing wrong with saving money.

In addition to the discounts in this article, we encourage those of you with a AAA Card to go online or to call your local AAA Club and ask them about what discounts they offer for their members.  Many include Car Repair, Hotel Discounts, Movie Discounts, and discounts for Food and even Eyeglasses and Contacts.

The age to receive senior discounts will vary from company to company. what we have found during our research is that most companies use either age 55 or age 60 as their baseline for discounts.

There are several types of senior discounts available across the country. Some businesses require you to join their "Senior Club", while others generously offer discounts to everyone who meets the Age Requirements.  Remember though, many people do not look their age, so even though discounts are available, they will not automatically be applied unless you specifically ask about them.

AAA is a popular membership service that provides discounts for  travel, shopping, dining, and more. The program also offers roadside  assistance and financial services.

While AAA is a prominent membership among seniors, there is no national senior discount when it comes to enrollment fees.

The Classic AAA membership includes all AAA membership discounts and limited roadside assistance costs an annual fee of $77.

The Plus AAA membership costs an annual fee of $127.50. This  membership level includes all AAA membership discounts and a mid-tier  offering for roadside assistance.

Lastly, the Premier AAA membership has an annual price tag of  $155.50 and offers the highest level of roadside assistance along with  all AAA membership discounts.

So, while you may not receive a discount on annual fees, you do  still receive the perks of a membership even when you enroll in the  lowest membership tier.

What 30 years ago was a novelty, has now become mainstream.  Having a cell phone is mandatory these days, and everyone needs a smartphone, right?

Discounts are not the end all be all for us to survive.  But, in these tighter economic eras, we are currently in. It just makes sense to save money, and not have to overpay for everything. If we can save money, by taking advantage of discounts that are offered. It just is good common sense. Companies hope that the discounts they offer will result in you being a more regular patron of their establishments.  We can all remember the phrase "Good Things Come To Those  Who Wait"  but I think we can safely add "Good Things Come For Those Who Ask" to that list.
